Windows 7 End of Support is Upon Us!
January 22nd, 2020 by admin

We have been working to inform everyone since last summer that Microsoft was planning to end their support of several platforms in 2020. Well, the time has come! If you still have not requested a custom PC and network evaluation to see if your systems need to be updated to avoid major security concerns, now is the time! Microsoft support has ended as of last week for Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7.
Microsoft is ending support for several major platforms in 2020:
- Windows Server 2008 – Support ended January 14th, 2020 (last week!)
- Windows 7 – Support ended January 14th, 2020 (last week!)
- Office 2010 – Support ends October 13th, 2020
What does End of Support mean?
Simply put, 'end of support' means there will be no patches or security updates, which may cause security and compliance issues and expose organizations to serious security risks. Here are a couple of resources that will help answer some of the questions you may have. For Windows Server 2008, you can reference the Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 support on their website. For Windows 7 upgrade information, you can download our datasheet now.
